Losing Your Sh#! During the Holidays

How many times throughout the pandemic have you found yourself saying “Once the pandemic is done I’m going to stop drinking, eat healthier, start meditating, get back into my exercise routine…(insert desired activity here). Probably a lot. The pandemic has thrown many of us out of our healthy routines, seeking well-being and ease in places that it will never be found.

And now we enter the holiday season. It’s a very different holiday this year—perhaps one filled with grief, loneliness, and loss—of traditions activities, and people that would normally fill this season with joy.

Many of my clients are struggling and perhaps you are too. Life during a pandemic is requiring a lot from us—to adapt, change, and be flexible. Not just once, but ALL THE TIME. It makes sense that these energetic demands make us feel like we are going to lose our sh#!.

We can’t change the circumstances around us, but we can change our relationship to what is happening.  This capacity to have a healthier relationship with life’s challenges can go a long way to reduce suffering.

In the spirit of this, I wanted to point you to a couple of different resources that might support you at this point in the pandemic, in addition to supporting you to develop healthy habits as we move into the new year.
